    abilities and needs. Through comprehensive insights and practical strategies, attendees will gain a nuanced understanding of how to support and empower these children and celebrate their unique strengths and capabilities.
  • Understanding Individual Differences and Learning Styles - This training focuses on recognizing and understanding the diverse learning styles and individual differences among students, including those with special needs. It covers strategies for adapting teaching methods, communication styles, and activities to accommodate different learning preferences and needs.
  • Creating Inclusive Environments - This training emphasizes the importance of creating welcoming and inclusive environments that promote the participation and engagement of all children, regardless of their abilities. It covers strategies for fostering a sense of belonging, supporting peer interactions, and promoting positive relationships among children with and without disabilities
  • Effective Communication Strategies - This training provides group leaders with practical communication strategies for effectively interacting with children with special needs. It covers techniques for using clear and simple language, providing visual supports, and using nonverbal communication to convey information and instructions effectively.
  • Positive Reinforcement and Motivation – We will explore the principles of positive reinforcement and motivation in supporting the learning and behavior of special needs youth. Participants learn about the importance of using strengths-based approaches, reinforcement schedules, and intrinsic motivation strategies to promote engagement and success.
  • Behavior Management Techniques - This training covers evidence-based strategies for managing challenging behaviors commonly exhibited by special needs youth. Participants learn how to identify triggers, implement positive behavior support plans, use reinforcement strategies, and create supportive environments conducive to positive behavior change.
  • Supporting Social Skills Development - This training focuses on promoting the development of social skills and peer interactions among children in inclusive settings. It covers strategies for facilitating group activities, promoting teamwork, and teaching social skills through structured activities and guided practice.
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention - This training addresses strategies for preventing and de-escalating crises situations involving special needs youth, including aggression, self-injury, and meltdowns.
    Participants learn about trauma-informed crisis intervention techniques, behavior management
    strategies, and creating crisis response plans.
  • Goal Setting and Individualized Planning - This training focuses on the importance of goal setting and individualized planning for children with special needs. It covers strategies for collaboratively setting meaningful and achievable goals with children and their families, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as needed to support growth and development.
  • Family-Centered Practice - This training emphasizes the importance of family involvement and collaboration in supporting special needs youth. Participants learn about family-centered practices, including family engagement strategies, effective communication with families, and fostering
    partnerships to promote positive outcomes for youth.
  • Collaboration and Team Building - This workshop focuses on building effective partnerships and collaboration among professionals, families, and community stakeholders involved in supporting special needs youth. Participants learn about collaborative problem-solving, conflict resolution strategies, and the importance of building trust and rapport to enhance outcomes for special needs youth.

Pricing :

$750 per Workshop Topic for up to 25 people maximum.
$850 per Workshop Topic up to 35 people maximum.

All workshops are 2 hours and can be in virtual or in person.
Additional fees of $150 - $200 (depending on the number of participants) for materials, supplies and travel will be added for in person workshops.
Please note any travel outside of NYC will have additional expenses added depending on the location.
